She saw that I was carrying &lt;em&gt;EAARTH&lt;/em&gt;, by Bill McKibben, and asked if I was interested in joining the Environmental Commission. I said &amp;quot;Sure.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since then, I've been trying to navigate local politics.
